The S&P 500 Index retreated from its record high last week due to jitters in the bond market, closing at 7,674 points after reaching a peak of 7,820 earlier in the month.

Among the top stocks to watch this week are Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), CrowdStrike (NASDAQ:CRWD), Salesforce (NASDAQ:CRM) and Workday (NASDAQ:WDAY).

Workday's earnings will be closely watched as it publishes its results, which come at a time when there are rumors of an acquisition by Silver Lake. The company offers software for HR, accounting, planning, and legal solutions.

The average estimate is that Workday's revenue rose by 12% in the second quarter to $2.64 billion. The earnings will also provide more color about demand for its services amid fears of a SaaSPocalypse.
