Salesforce AIforce Unveils New Integration Layers Across Multiple Surfaces
Salesforce has unveiled AIforce, a live interface layer that integrates the company's platform with various surfaces where people and agents work. The move marks an 'interface revolution' for Salesforce, according to CEO Marc Benioff.
AIforce is not a product but rather an umbrella term for the architecture behind it, which includes the Headless Toolkit. This toolkit exposes every element of the Salesforce platform, providing developers with APIs, plug-ins, skills, and tools.
The three surfaces where AIforce launches are Claudeforce (Claude), Slackforce (Slack), and Agentforce Coworker. However, it's essential to note that these surfaces did not ship at the same maturity level, with Salesforce in Claude available to all customers in beta. Beta is a reason to scope a pilot rather than a rollout.
The three surfaces are connected by a common control: authorization. Every request runs on existing permissions and business rules, ensuring that agents see only what the person asking can see.
