Salesforce Bets on AI Simulation to Cement CRM Leadership
Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Listen Labs, an AI-powered customer research and human simulation platform. The deal embeds autonomous research agents and digital twin technology directly into Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud, compressing research cycles from months to days.
Listen Labs' AI agents autonomously design studies, recruit participants, conduct in-depth research, and synthesize findings, drawing from a global network of over 50 million participants across more than 120 languages. The platform also offers digital twins, AI simulations grounded in real customer behavior, that generate simulated responses to help teams compare approaches before market testing.
The acquisition reinforces Salesforce's 34.1% CRM market share and $29.1 billion in CY2025 CRM revenue, meeting enterprise buyers' top priority of Autonomous Agents/Bots/Agentic AI adoption.
Salesforce is not speculating on a future use case; it is meeting enterprise buyers where their deployment intent already points. The acquisition gives Salesforce a production-ready agentic AI story for the functions that matter most to its core customer base.
