Salesforce Forecasts $600B India GDP Boost from Agentic AI
Salesforce executives predict that India's GDP could increase by up to $600 billion by 2035 due to the adoption of agentic AI. The company estimates that this growth will come from enterprises moving beyond pilot projects and deploying agents across business processes.
The growth is expected to be driven by India's growing base of global capability centres (GCCs), digital skills, and enterprise technology infrastructure. Salesforce South Asia President and CEO Arundhati Bhattacharya noted that many GCCs are developing agentic capabilities locally rather than limiting their role to technology execution.
Salesforce has also seen significant growth in India itself, with 58% of GCCs investing in agentic AI and another 29% planning to scale such investments over the next year. Additionally, 24% of Indian business leaders have already deployed agentic AI, indicating that deployment is moving beyond pilot projects.
The company's own platform has also seen significant adoption in India, with 3.9 million 'trailblazers' in its active community building, using, and developing solutions on the platform.
