Salesforce Sees $63 Billion Revenue Future in AI-Powered Growth
Salesforce is trying to shift the narrative around AI's impact on its business. Unlike some investors who worried that generative AI would weaken traditional software companies, Salesforce sees it as a growth driver.
The company now expects annual revenue above $63 billion by fiscal 2030, surpassing analysts' predictions of roughly $61.4 billion. This ambitious target is built on several fronts: connecting customer data with Anthropic's Claude through Claudeforce and testing Koa, an AI reasoning model based on Nvidia architecture, with nearly 1,000 enterprise customers.
Slack, acquired by Salesforce, is also taking on a new role as the central place for companies to manage autonomous AI agents. Additionally, Salesforce has realized a $2.6 billion gain from its early investment in Anthropic, which could potentially be used to fund its $60 billion stock buyback.
The company's CEO, Marc Benioff, did not provide further insight on the topic beyond stating that the early investment produced a significant profit.
