Salesforce Stock Soars on Blowout Earnings and AI Breakthrough
Salesforce's stock surged 10.1% in pre-market trading after the company delivered a fiscal second-quarter 2027 earnings report that far exceeded Wall Street expectations.
The enterprise software giant reported adjusted earnings per share of $5.90, crushing the $3.27 analyst consensus by more than 80%, while revenue of $11.35 billion edged above the $11.32 billion estimate and grew 11% year-over-year.
Salesforce also unveiled a new AI plug-in called 'Claudeforce' developed in partnership with Anthropic, which layers Claude's reasoning and decision-making directly on top of Salesforce's enterprise data, workflows, and permissions.
The company's guidance was raised significantly, with full-year fiscal 2027 revenue now expected to be $46.1, $46.4 billion and adjusted EPS of $16.67, $16.71, up from the prior outlook of $14.06, $14.12 in EPS.
