Salesforce has launched AIforce, a new 'live interface layer' designed for the agentic AI era.

Aim is to simplify access to data and workflows for agents, such as Claude or OpenAI, removing the need for users to log in.

The move follows Salesforce's earlier Headless 360 service, which exposed databases to agents through APIs and other tools.

This is seen as an effort by Salesforce to insulate itself from market shocks caused by aggressive AI developers who are muscling into software providers' territory.
