Salesforce's Future Growth Hinges on AI-Powered Customer Value

As Salesforce continues to grow and evolve, its next opportunity for growth may come from customers spending less time within its interface. Instead, AI agents can do more of the work, making the company's business context and execution capabilities even more essential.

The customer relationship management (CRM) giant has been exploring ways to connect its elements through an enterprise AI harness, which comprises data, business knowledge, workflows, and controls that let models do useful work across systems. This is a significant shift from simply answering questions to blending deterministic software with the stochastic qualities of large language models.

According to surveys by Qualitate, interest in Agentforce and Headless is nearly universal among customers, with 75% expecting Salesforce spending to increase, not decline, when working outside its interface. However, this also creates a challenge for the company: more consumption can generate more revenue, but it doesn't automatically translate to customer value.
