SERPreach introduces structured approach to Google penalty recovery
SERPreach, an SEO and link-building practice, has introduced a structured framework for recovering from Google penalties. The four-step process, diagnose, identify, remediate, and reconsideration, emphasizes thorough diagnosis and remediation before considering disavowal, which Google advises is rarely necessary.
The framework is based on Google's official documentation and aims to help site owners differentiate between manual actions, algorithmic changes, and technical issues. SERPreach stresses the importance of understanding the type of problem before taking action, as misdiagnosis can lead to ineffective recovery efforts.
According to SERPreach, a reconsideration request should detail the quality issue, the steps taken to correct it, and the outcomes. Google's guidelines specify that reviews can take days to weeks, with notifications sent upon completion. The disavow tool is recommended only for sites with a considerable number of spammy links and a manual action or likely manual action for unnatural links.
SERPreach's founder, Sabahat Ali, advises against relying on third-party toxic backlink scores, as these are not Google metrics. The framework encourages site owners to attempt appropriate removal of links they created or commissioned before using the disavow tool.
