Sherwin-Williams Expands North American Facility with New Coatings Plant
Sherwin-Williams has expanded its architectural coatings plant in Statesville, North Carolina. The upgraded facility is now the company's largest in North America, spanning nearly 50,000 square feet of improvements. This expansion includes enhanced production space, automated processes, and increased rail infrastructure to streamline material handling and logistics.
The grand opening ceremony took place on September 30th, with key project partners, public officials, and Sherwin-Williams employees in attendance. Heidi Petz, Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sherwin-Williams, praised the new facility for its potential to boost supply chain efficiency and responsiveness.
The site expansion is supported by a public-private partnership between North Carolina state government, Iredell County, and the City of Statesville. The project includes approved incentives that will aid in the company's investment.
