Sherwin-Williams Expands North Carolina Facility to Boost Supply Chain
Sherwin-Williams has opened an expanded architectural paint and coatings manufacturing facility in Statesville, North Carolina. The company's largest plant in North America now boasts nearly 50,000 square feet of improvements.
The expansion includes new production space, automation enhancements, four rail spurs, and related infrastructure to streamline material handling and improve operational efficiency.
'This grand opening marks an important milestone for Sherwin-Williams,' said Heidi Petz, Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer. 'With expanded production space, new rail infrastructure, and greater automation, this facility gives us more flexibility and efficiency in how we manufacture and move products across our global supply network.'
The project reflects a public-private partnership between Sherwin-Williams and the state of North Carolina, Iredell County, and the City of Statesville. The investment includes approved incentives to support the expansion.
