Sitharaman Meets JPMorgan's Dimon Amid India Expansion Plans
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met with Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan Chase & Co in Mumbai on September 21. The meeting took place during the JPMorgan India Investor Conference.
Dimon is scheduled to meet executives from India's top conglomerates during his visit. He has been a regular visitor to the country in recent years, where JPMorgan has been strengthening its teams in areas including investment banking and payment solutions.
JPMorgan won the top spot in India's equity offerings in 2025, scoring a win in one of the world's fastest growing economies and busiest fundraising markets. The bank sees significant opportunities across various sectors, including cross-border M&A, innovation economy, manufacturing, healthcare, consumer, financial services, and technology.
Other major global banks have also stepped up their India presence to tap into M&A deals.
