SK hynix Inc., the South Korean memory chip maker, has seen its stock jump by 9.03% in recent trading on the back of positive developments in its AI partnership with Nvidia and a potential investment from Temasek.

The company's shares rose after it was reported that Temasek plans to invest in SK hynix and Samsung, sending the stock up by 4.6%. This is not the first time Temasek has shown interest in investing in SK hynix, with the sovereign wealth fund reportedly backing the company's expansion into AI memory.

SK hynix has been working closely with Nvidia to develop high-bandwidth memory (HBM) for AI applications. The partnership is seen as a significant move by both companies to tap into the growing demand for AI memory, which is expected to reach $500 billion-plus in value.
