Slide Expands Backup Platform to Include Microsoft 365
Slide, a Westport, Conn.-based backup vendor, is expanding its platform into Microsoft 365 to help managed service providers (MSPs) protect their cloud-based data. The move comes after MSP feedback and aligns with Slide's strategy to build a unified backup platform that covers on-premises and cloud environments.
The company will preview its Microsoft 365 backup capabilities at an invite-only summit this week, with a broader release planned for early next year. According to CEO Michael Fass, the technical architecture of Slide's initial BCDR product was designed to accommodate additional workloads from the start.
Slide has been working closely with MSP partners in alpha- and beta-testing its Microsoft 365 backup solution. For Devaughn Bittle, president of Frederick, Md.-based CommPutercations, the real advantage is ease of managing all protection across customer environments in a single platform. Choi said Slide's road map is built around partner feedback.
