Smart Camera Saves Home from Devastating Fire

A fire broke out in a Spring Hill home on September 23rd, but thanks to an Amazon Alexa camera, the homeowner was alerted and firefighters were able to contain the flames before they spread.

No one was home at the time except for the family dog, which was rescued by firefighters. The camera detected smoke inside the house and sent a notification to the homeowner, who then called 911.

The fire started in a bedroom but was contained to one room thanks to the prompt alert from the Alexa camera. Hernando County Fire Rescue responded quickly to the scene and brought the dog to safety.
