Snap, the operator of social media service Snapchat, has launched its Specs augmented reality (AR) glasses on September 16 for about 3 million won. The company aims to enter the enterprise computing equipment market with this product.

Specs was unveiled in June and features artificial intelligence (AI) assistance, work tools, entertainment, and collaboration capabilities. Snap has formed partnerships with Nvidia, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Salesforce for the product.

The price of Specs presents a barrier for ordinary consumers, but it can be considered an equipment investment aimed at improving the productivity of field workers. Snap is targeting stores, service locations, factories, and manufacturing facilities as potential customers for Specs.
