Snap Teams Up With Tech Giants to Turn AR Glasses Into Enterprise AI Platform
Snap is taking its AR glasses, Specs, to the workplace. The company has partnered with Nvidia, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Salesforce to turn the $2,195 device into an enterprise AI platform.
The move is aimed at making Specs useful to businesses, particularly workers who need access to instructions, information, and AI assistance while performing tasks in the field.
According to Snap CEO Evan Spiegel, the company wants to change how people think about Specs, positioning it as a new form of computer rather than another pair of connected glasses.
The partnership with Nvidia will make it easier for businesses to connect AI systems with Specs, while Salesforce will help integrate enterprise workflows. AWS will provide scalable computing infrastructure.
Snap is also expanding the software proposition with Specs Intelligence, an AI assistant that will operate across AR glasses and other devices.
