SpaceX Soars on Starship Success and Scaling Ambitions
SpaceX's recent performance has been marked by stabilization after hitting an all-time low of $104.83 in early August. This dip was likely due to investors locking in profits and taking some chips off the table following massive windfall gains from private investments.
The company now enjoys a plethora of fresh catalysts driving the stock higher into year-end and 2027, including Starship's historic first orbital flight, which has sparked excitement about its reusable capabilities and potential to carry five to ten times more payload than traditional rockets.
SpaceX is also scaling its lucrative Starlink business with the successful deployment of 26 next-generation satellites during the recent Starship launch. Additionally, the company's AI data centers in space concept has gained traction following Planet Labs' and Google's proof-of-concept AI satellite launch.
The rapid growth of xAI's terrestrial AI business, particularly its computing agreements with SpaceX worth up to $84.5 billion through May 2029, is another key driver for the company's revenue growth, which Zacks Consensus Estimates predict will surge by 147% in 2027.
