The Reserve Bank of Australia's new payment surcharge rules will soon take effect in Squadi. From October 1, 2026, transaction fees can no longer be added as a separate surcharge at checkout.

This change means that clubs must now include these costs in the advertised price. The RBA has also clarified that American Express will remove surcharging from this date.

The Stripe service provider will apply a 1.7% charge on all membership, shop, and ticketing transactions to cover transaction fees. This amount will be deducted directly from the club's Stripe Withdrawal account on a weekly basis when settlement occurs.
