SRS Distribution Expands HVAC Offerings with Lohmiller & Company Acquisition
SRS Distribution, a leading wholesale distributor of building materials and products, has entered into an agreement to acquire Lohmiller & Company, a Denver-based HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) distributor with four locations in Colorado.
The acquisition marks the second addition to SRS's growing HVAC offerings. SRS was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in McKinney, Texas. It distributes building products throughout North America, operating over 1,300 locations across the U.S. and Canada under a family of local brands.
SRS has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Home Depot since 2024, when it was acquired for approximately $18.25 billion. The company's CEO, Dan Tinker, stated that Lohmiller & Company is a good fit due to its customer service and workforce values, which align with SRS's own business model.
Brian Meegan, a partner at the Colorado-based law firm Kupfer, sees the acquisition as part of a trend in HVAC services consolidation. He noted that this strategy provides a hedge against new construction volatility by offering recurring revenue and expertise retention.
