American Airlines is considering expanding its partnership with Starlink to include its Boeing 737, 777, and 787 fleets. According to JonNYC, who reports on aviation industry developments, American's original plan was to install Starlink on over 500 Airbus narrowbody aircraft beginning in 2027.

The addition of the Boeing fleet would significantly expand the reach of Starlink on American Airlines flights, providing high-speed internet service to both domestic and international passengers. The 737 represents a substantial portion of American's domestic operation, while bringing Starlink to the 777 and 787 would extend the service to longhaul international flights.

The expansion of Starlink would also standardize American's free Wi-Fi offering, making it easier for passengers to know what they can expect. United Airlines has already made Starlink a central part of its marketing efforts, highlighting the importance of reliable and fast internet connectivity on flights.
