Lord Alan Sugar has criticized American Express after being denied an increase to his credit limit. The billionaire, who has a reported net worth of £1.138 billion, claimed he spoke to four different representatives during a one-hour phone call.

Sugar stated that even though he was eventually connected with someone in the UK who knew his financial status, his request for a higher credit limit was still refused due to their system. He called American Express 'a bunch of idiots' and expressed frustration at the company's handling of the situation.

Some of Sugar's followers on social media questioned why he expected special treatment as a wealthy individual, while others defended him, pointing out that he uses credit cards like many ordinary people do to manage his finances. American Express has yet to comment on the matter.
