The device features built-in haptics, a small vibration motor that provides tactile feedback when interacting with certain parts of Windows. This feature is exclusive to the new Surface Mouse, making it stand out from other mice on the market.

The Surface Mouse now joins the likes of Logitech's MX Master 4 as one of the few devices supporting haptics. The new mouse also features an extra action button that can be configured in the Microsoft Surface app to launch a chosen app or shortcut.
