Swire Coca-Cola USA has agreed to pay $2 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it entered into noncompetition covenants with certain employees in violation of Washington law. The company's employment policies were accused of unlawfully restricting employees from working other jobs or engaging in additional work during their employment.

The settlement affects approximately 2,003 current and former employees who worked for Swire Coca-Cola USA in Washington state between September 9, 2022, and March 10, 2026. These employees earned less than twice the state minimum hourly wage during this time period.

Each eligible class member will receive a pro rata cash payment estimated at $672.54 from the net settlement fund. No claim form is required to receive a settlement payment, although class members can submit a payment selection form online using their login ID and PIN from their settlement notice.
