Syria Unveils Tourism Super App with Cross-Border Payments
UAE-based venture 121 Living has launched 'My Syria', a tourism and lifestyle super app under the patronage of Syrian Minister of Tourism Mazen Al-Salhani. The app combines travel, hospitality, transport, and digital payment services in one platform.
The company describes My Syria as the country's first integrated digital super app, developed with strategic support from the Ministry of Tourism. It currently offers eight services and is expected to expand to over 40 verified tourism and hospitality providers across the country.
The launch comes as part of Syria's wider tourism digital transformation strategy, which aims to drive investment and sustainable sector growth through innovation and private-sector participation. According to the Ministry of Tourism, visitor arrivals increased by 111% during the first half of 2026, reaching 3.52 million compared with 1.67 million in the same period last year.
The app supports cross-border digital payments through Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, making it the first platform in Syria to offer this service.
