Taiwan Now Accounts for 28% of Nvidia's Revenue
Nvidia's revenue has seen a significant shift in recent quarters, with more than a quarter of its total revenue now coming from customers based in Taiwan. According to the company's latest quarterly filing, $27.0 billion of Nvidia's revenue was billed to Taiwanese customers during the fiscal second quarter of 2027, which is 28% of the quarter's $96.2 billion total.
This represents a significant increase from the same period last year, when Taiwanese customers accounted for just 19% of revenue. The dollar figure has tripled in a year and more than doubled in a quarter, outpacing the company's overall growth.
Nvidia sorts its revenue by geography based on the headquarters location of direct customers it bills. In the fiscal second quarter, the United States accounted for 62% of revenue, followed by Taiwan at 28%, China (including Hong Kong) at 8%, and the rest of the world combined at 2%.
The concentration of revenue among a few large buyers is also notable, with one direct customer accounting for 16% of Nvidia's total revenue in the quarter. This has been a persistent trend, with two direct customers representing 23% and 16% of revenue in the same quarter last year.
