Take-Two Unleashes Legal Muscle Against GTA 6 Leakers
Take-Two Interactive has taken a more aggressive approach in its pursuit of GTA 6 leakers, filing subpoenas against Microsoft and Discord to unmask the individuals behind recent leaks.
The company is seeking internal business and investigative records related to the alias 'Cyberleek' to identify the user or entity operating under that name. The information being requested includes account IDs, registration emails, IP addresses, phone numbers, linked accounts, device identifiers, and OneDrive content related to Grand Theft Auto or Rockstar Games.
The goal is to reconstitute the leaker's digital trail by cross-referencing identities, connections, devices, cloud storage, and activity across multiple services. This includes information on accounts that have communicated on specific Discord servers from June 1, 2026, to the present.
Rockstar Games has not directly addressed the leaks, but its plans to showcase an extended preview of GTA 6 remain unchanged for August 27, with a release date slated for November 19, 2026.
