Taylor Buys Low-Cap Stock with Ohio Ties
Rep. David Taylor (R-Ohio) recently disclosed several stock transactions made in August on the Benzinga Government Trades page.
The transactions included the sale of $15,000 to $50,000 in Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ:MSFT).
Taylor's purchases were as follows:
Aug. 11: Bought $1,000 to $15,000 in Alphabet Class C (NASDAQ:GOOGL)
Aug. 11: Bought $1,000 to $15,000 in Alphabet Class A
Aug. 11: Bought $1,000 to $15,000 in Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG) stock
Aug. 14: Bought $1,000 to $15,000 in Installed Building Products (NYSE:IBP) stock
Taylor has bought all of these stocks in the past, but one trade stands out.
Installed Building Products, an insulation company with a market capitalization of $6.6 billion, is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Taylor's home state.
This is on the low side for most stocks bought and sold by members of Congress.
