Teams Mobile Users Face Calendar Blackout in Weeks Without Update
Microsoft Teams users on mobile devices are facing an impending issue as they will lose access to the Calendar feature unless they update their app by October. This change affects only those using the iOS and Android apps for Microsoft Teams, while browser and desktop versions remain unaffected.
The note from Microsoft's support team explains that this change aims to maintain a reliable calendar experience on mobile devices and ensure compatibility with ongoing Teams service updates.
Although no specific reason is given for shutting off the Calendar feature for non-updated apps, TechRadar speculates it might be related to the upcoming end-of-life for Microsoft's Exchange Web Services system. Updating the mobile Teams app will presumably resolve this issue, allowing continued use of the Calendar feature.
