Tech Data Expands IBM Distribution Footprint in Asia Pacific with 20 Country Rollout

Tech Data, a global distributor and solutions aggregator for the IT ecosystem, has expanded its IBM distribution footprint in Asia Pacific. The expansion spans 20 new countries across Asia Pacific, Europe, and Latin America, under the Tec D brand in Malaysia. This move is part of TD SYNNEX's global expansion of its IBM distribution.

The partnership between Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX company, and IBM has been strengthened with this expansion. According to Jaideep Malhotra, president of TD SYNNEX APJ, 'This expansion reflects the continued strength of the partnership between Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX company, and IBM across Asia Pacific.'

The expanded footprint gives more partners access to Select Blue, an initiative from TD SYNNEX built with IBM. This initiative helps partners specialize in areas like AI, data, and automation. Tech Data provides capabilities spanning enablement, financing, pre-sales support, and go-to-market execution for partners with IBM businesses.

The expansion covers six additional Asia Pacific markets: Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, and the Philippines. Building on its existing specialized IBM practice in Australia, India, Singapore, and Vietnam, Tech Data now has a total of ten Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) markets under its umbrella.
