Tech Giants Back District Court's Rejection of Google Payment Ban

Samsung and Apple have filed briefs in support of a district court's decision to reject a proposed ban on Google's payments to device distributors.

The tech giants told the D.C. Circuit that the ban would harm their businesses, with Samsung saying it would deprive it of revenue needed for research and development in its mobile business unit.

Apple added that the ban would only benefit Google at the expense of customers and third-parties.
