Tech Stocks to Watch: Analysts Pile into AAPL, META, and ORCL Ahead of September Catalysts
Apple (AAPL), Meta Platforms (META), and Oracle (ORCL) are three tech stocks to watch in September, according to analysts. Apple will hold its major product event on September 9, where it is expected to unveil its first foldable device. Morgan Stanley analyst Erik Woodring believes the foldable iPhone could contribute about $14 billion in revenue to the December quarter.
However, he also expects significant price hikes for the new device, which may impact consumer demand. Apple needs to show that its AI strategy can translate into features compelling enough to drive device upgrades and revive a sluggish hardware upgrade cycle.
META will host its Connect event on September 23-24, where investors will look for updates on its AI and metaverse plans, including the release of AI glasses and other wearable devices. Analysts see this event as a key test for Meta, which needs to demonstrate that its hardware, developer tools, and AI models can work well together.
Oracle is set to report earnings on September 10, with Wall Street expecting adjusted earnings of about $1.74 per share and revenue growth around 28% to $19.13 billion. Analyst Tal Liani at BofA reiterated a Buy rating for ORCL stock with a price target of $240.
