Tech Titans Unite: Georgia Tech and Amazon Launch Joint Science Hub
Georgia Tech and Amazon have launched a joint science hub to advance cutting-edge research through academic-industry collaboration. The Georgia Tech-Amazon Science Hub will bring together researchers from both institutions, as well as the broader Atlanta tech community.
The partnership builds on existing collaborations between Georgia Tech and Amazon over the past decade. As part of the agreement, Amazon will provide funding for joint research projects and community-building initiatives designed to accelerate scientific ambitions.
According to Tapas Roy, vice president of Device Software and Services at Amazon, 'The most meaningful breakthroughs happen when intelligent hardware and thoughtful software come together to genuinely help people.'
The Hub's initial focus areas will explore challenges in autonomous systems, next-generation logistics infrastructure, and low-Earth-orbit communications. Georgia Tech is also joining Fauna Robotics' ecosystem to study human-robot interaction.
