Technip Energies Unveils SnapLNG 1.5 for Faster LNG Project Delivery
Technip Energies has launched SnapLNG 1.5, an innovative solution for liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects. The new standardised and modular design is enabled by partnerships with Honeywell Technologies and Siemens Energy.
The solution aims to help developers bring LNG capacity online faster, improve execution certainty, and reduce operational emissions. With growing demand for LNG expected over the next decade, SnapLNG 1.5 is designed to address the challenges of accelerating project delivery while reducing complexity and improving reliability.
According to Technip Energies, more than 200 million tonnes per year (tpy) of new LNG capacity could be required by 2035, with the US expected to account for approximately 50% of global LNG market growth. SnapLNG 1.5 combines Technip Energies' expertise in LNG project execution and modularisation capabilities with Honeywell Technologies' proven gas pretreatment, liquefaction, and automation technologies and Siemens Energy's electrified turbomachinery and compression solutions.
The standardised 1.5 million tpy train can be replicated for larger developments, leveraging extensive offsite fabrication and electric motor-driven liquefaction technology to reduce development complexity and shorten project schedules by up to two years.
