Tempo's Inaugural Season Ends in Lopsided Loss to Liberty

The Toronto Tempo finished their inaugural WNBA season on a sour note, falling to the New York Liberty by a margin of 106-69 in front of a sold-out crowd at Coca-Cola Coliseum.

Despite the lopsided defeat, fans showed their appreciation for the team with a standing ovation after the final home game of the season. The Tempo's forward Laura Juskaite led the way with a career-high 28 points, followed closely by rookie Kiki Rice with 19 points.

The loss marked the sixth straight and 18th in 19 outings for the Tempo, who finished their home schedule with a record of 4-17. Top players Brittney Sykes and Marina Mabrey were absent due to injuries, which had a significant impact on the team's performance throughout the season.

The Tempo will next face the Chicago Sky on Tuesday in their next outing.
