Tennessee's Health Hubs Expand Preventive Care Across the State
Health hubs in Tennessee have been making a significant impact on residents' health and well-being. A partnership between UnitedHealth Group and UT Health Sciences has led to thousands of people improving their blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
The program focuses on building trust through local health coaches who provide personalized support and education. One such coach, Belinda Gray, helped Amber Covington lower her average blood sugar from 12.9 to 7.3.
A new $4 million commitment will expand the program to 13 locations across Tennessee by the end of 2027, aiming to reach over 200,000 people in medically underserved communities.
