Apple's first event under new CEO John Ternus marked a significant shift for the company. Effective September 1st, Ternus took over from Tim Cook, who had led Apple for 15 years.

Cook leaves behind an impressive legacy, including zero major product recalls and the iPhone becoming the world's best-selling mobile device. In the past decade, Apple's market share has grown from around 18% to above 30%, surpassing Samsung in 2022.

The new CEO made his debut at this year's annual product demonstration event, which featured two major announcements: the introduction of the iPhone Duo and AI-enhanced Siri. The iPhone Duo is a foldable phone that offers a larger display than Apple's current flagship model, the iPhone 18 Pro Max. Ternus' first revolutionary device under his tenure may face scrutiny regarding its recall-free reputation.

Apple also unveiled updates to its native Siri application, including a feature called Siri Recap, which can ambiently listen to daily conversations and summarize them. This AI enhancement may be one of Apple's most powerful products yet.
