Thailand's government has revised its visa-exemption scheme for Indian passport holders, reducing the maximum stay from 60 days to 30 days. The change took effect on September 15, 2026.

The new rules apply to tourists and cover 60 countries and territories, including India. Under the revised system, Indians can enter Thailand without a visa in advance for up to 30 days.

However, anyone planning to stay longer than 30 days will need to explore alternative immigration routes. Thailand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends using the e-Visa system or other visa categories for extended stays.
