Peter Thiel's investment firm, Thiel Macro LLC, recently disclosed new holdings in several stocks connected to the artificial intelligence (AI) sector. Two of these comprise a substantial 42% of the portfolio by market value: Amazon and Vistra Corp.

The billionaire co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Palantir Technologies has invested in several winning companies over the years, including Meta Platforms when it was known as Facebook and LinkedIn before Microsoft bought it. His successful track record makes his investments worth paying attention to.

Amazon's position as the world's top cloud computing company, with an impressive 28% market share, is a key factor making it a compelling AI investment. The company's CEO, Andy Jassy, built the Amazon Web Services (AWS) division into a cloud powerhouse before being selected for the CEO role.
