Thomas Farrell: Beloved Husband, Father, and Veteran Leaves Lasting Legacy

Thomas Farrell passed away at his home on Friday, September 11, 2026. He waited until family members had said their goodbyes, showing remarkable strength in his final days.

Farrell was born in Albany, NY, and was the son of Thomas and Dorothy Farrell. He is preceded in death by his first wife Carol, who he was married to for 43 years, as well as step-grandson Josh and sister Carolyn.

Farrell's legacy lives on through his children: Thomas J Farrell III (Donielle), Kelly Callaghan (Chris), Timothy Farrell, Michael Farrell (Tracy), stepchildren Sharon Foster (Mark) and Donna Skelley (Scott). He also has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A veteran of the United States Navy, Farrell spent a lifelong career with IBM. He was also a third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the James Hill Hook and Ladder Fire Company in Rensselaer, NY.
