This investment represents 1.1% of Trans Canada Capital Inc.'s holdings, making Walmart its 13th largest holding. State Street Corp, another large investor, boosted its holdings in Walmart by 1.2% in the third quarter, owning approximately $19.04 billion worth of stock.

The retail giant has been in the news recently due to its partnership with Dunkin', which adds restaurant delivery to its digital ecosystem. This move is expected to increase customer engagement and order frequency while competing with DoorDash and Uber Eats.
