Travel Industry Executives Make Key Appointments Amid Expansion
Midoco Group has appointed Michael Duffy as vice president of sales and strategic partnerships for North America. With over 20 years of experience in travel technology, sales, and strategic partnerships, Duffy will help accelerate Midoco's growth in the region.
Duffy joins Midoco from Grasp Technologies, Encore Travel, and Maritime Travel, where he held leadership roles. At Midoco, he will focus on deepening relationships across the travel ecosystem and supporting the company's expansion with travel management companies (TMCs), agencies, partners, and customers.
Marriott International has also made a significant appointment, naming Chris Buckner as senior vice president of loyalty. Buckner brings extensive experience in loyalty-focused roles at Delta Air Lines and PayPal to his new position.
American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) has appointed Michael Esquibel as chief technology officer, leading the company's technology and AI strategies. With eight years of experience at Amex GBT, including a stint as senior vice president of technology and platform engineering, Esquibel will drive the development of innovative technologies to enhance customer experiences.
