Trump Blasts Chevron and Exxon Mobil's 'Too Much' Profits Amid Iran War
President Donald Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with Chevron and Exxon Mobil's profits during the second quarter of this year. According to Trump, the oil companies are making 'too much money' due to a shortage caused by the war with Iran.
Trump stated that he is not happy about the situation, despite being a strong supporter of free enterprise. He emphasized that consumers will see lower gas prices once the US is finished with Iran, but acknowledged that this will take time.
Chevron's net income increased to $12.2 billion in the three months ending June 30, a nearly 400% rise compared to the same period last year. Exxon Mobil recorded a similar increase, with profits reaching about $14.5 billion for the quarter.
