Trump Invests in Boeing on Same Day Navy Awards $880 Million Contract
President Donald Trump's financial disclosure forms show that his investment accounts purchased between $250,001 and $500,000 in Boeing (BA) stock on June 18, 2026. This was the same day the U.S. Navy awarded a contract worth up to $880 million to Boeing for P-8A Poseidon aircrew and maintenance training systems.
The deal could ultimately be worth as much as $2.2 billion if all options are exercised. At that price, a $500,000 purchase would translate to roughly 2,245 shares of stock.
The White House maintains that the president has no involvement in individual investment decisions and says Trump's stock and bond portfolio is independently managed by third-party financial institutions.
However, critics have raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest due to Trump's substantial investments in Boeing and other companies with major contractual relationships with the federal government.
