Trump's 'Lake America' Order Sparks Map Provider Divide

The move is part of Trump's escalating trade war with Canada, which has led to increased tariffs on both sides of the border. However, not all map providers have followed suit. MapQuest, a popular alternative to Apple and Google Maps, has refused to change Lake Ontario's label and instead offered users the option to rename it through an online tool.

This isn't the first time Trump has attempted to rename a body of water with international boundaries. Last year, he ordered that the Gulf of Mexico be renamed the Gulf of America, which was later updated by Apple and Google on their maps in the U.S.
