TUI Airline Shifts Focus to Key Markets with New Fleet Strategy
TUI Airlines is revamping its fleet strategy to focus on key markets that can justify higher-frequency flying. The leisure airline group is closing several of its bases as part of this effort.
In a bid to generate more operational synergies and build strongholds, TUI Airline's Chief Commercial Officer Peter Frettlohr noted the company's goal of following a 'logic of generating more operational synergies.'
The airline is increasing its capacity by taking delivery of Boeing 737-10s. This move may lead to the discontinuation of Embraer E2s from TUI Airline's fleet.
