Typhoon Lagoon Shuts Down, But Disney World's Magical Season Continues
Disney World's Typhoon Lagoon water park is closing on September 9th for the season, and it won't be the only thing changing. The free water park tickets offered to guests staying at a Disney World resort are also ending on September 8th.
This perk has been available all summer long, allowing families to visit Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach without an additional cost. However, with the season coming to a close, guests will need to purchase separate tickets if they want to experience the water parks during their stay.
But don't worry, there's still plenty of fun to be had at Disney World. The Halloween festivities have officially begun, and Magic Kingdom is decked out in Mickey pumpkins and wreaths. Guests can also snag tickets for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which offers exclusive meet-and-greets, entertainment, snacks, and ride overlays.
And just when you thought it was all over, the winter holidays are right around the corner. The parks and resorts will be decorated with Christmas trees and sparkling lights starting on November 13th, and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a must-attend event for any Disney fan.
