U.S. Air Force Orders More F-15EX Fighters from Boeing in $2.38 Billion Deal

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Boeing Defense a new contract for 22 F-15EX fighters as part of Lot 7, worth $2.38 billion.

This brings the total number of jets under contract to 120 units and is a step towards the Air Force's planned fleet of 267 F-15EXs, replacing aging F-15C/D Eagle aircraft and beginning the recapitalization of the F-15E Strike Eagle fleet.

The new award follows Boeing being chosen by the Navy for its F/A-XX next-generation fighter jet and comes with a deadline to use funds allocated through last year's 'One Big Beautiful Act' reconciliation package and the FY 2026 budget.
