US Equities Close Mixed with Dow Jones Industrial Average Down 0.31%

US equities closed mixed on Thursday, with some sectors posting gains and others falling. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 0.31% to hit a new three-month low.

The biggest gainers on the Dow Jones were Walt Disney Company, which rose 2.03%, Visa Inc Class A, up 1.79%, and Verizon Communications Inc, which added 1.64%. On the other hand, Walmart Inc led the decliners with a fall of 2.69%.

On the S&P 500, Moderna Inc saw its shares rise by 6.98% to reach three-year highs, while Revvity Inc also reached new three-year highs with an increase of 6.03%. First Solar Inc's shares fell to 52-week lows after losing 10.32%, and 22nd Century Group Inc hit all-time lows following a decline of 35.47%.
