US Stocks End Higher Amid Sector Gains
U.S. stocks ended higher on Tuesday, boosted by gains in the Technology, Basic Materials, and Healthcare sectors.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.30% to close at a new level, while the S&P 500 gained 0.32% and the NASDAQ Composite climbed 0.66%.
Merck & Company Inc led the gains on the Dow, rising 3.84% or $5.79 to $156.45, while Goldman Sachs Group Inc added 2.18% or $22.60 to end at $1,058.88.
On the S&P 500, Moderna Inc was the top performer, surging 14.36% to $158.83.
